Master Files
Master Files maintain the master information to set up the application system
functioning. Maintaining school information, defining users and security
features, and monitoring system configuration are activities of this area.

workflow processes. Student activity allotment, attendance and absence recording,
and certificate issuing are part of this area.
The admission process includes scheduling the assessment plan, setting the admission criteria, recording the candidate evaluations for merit generation, short listing candidates for admission, allocation of class section, input of detailed student information and collection of required certificates and documents.

On generating a receivable the system calculates any late fees, arrears and applies adjustments to calculate the net receivable as on date. After making a receipt the system creates the balances. The fee receivable summary depicts the fee receivable, fines, adjustments, receipts and balance for a student or the entire school.

The Assessment Management module enables detailed setup and tracking of
academic assessment items (e.g. papers, exams, portfolios, oral presentations,
etc.) for students.
Assessment management is provided by defining all the components used to assess the students progress such as exams, presentations, papers etc; maintaining assessment details such as due dates and expectations for each assessment item; recording outcomes and extensions for each assessment item; and administering examination details such as timetable and attendance.
The unit grading processes include formula conversion of numeric grades to percentile or letter grades. Grading periods can be specified by class level of the student and data may be captured for each grading period. Grading can be administered via faculty self service, administrative self service or bulk grade entry via data upload.
The academic standing, generation and creation of academic reports are maintained.

Flexible, Workflow Driven Architecture
The solution has an architecture that is both extensible and tailorable.
Implementing
the solution is fast and easy because fewer modifications are required to
accommodate specialized fulfillment process requirements. The design philosophy
underlying the solution is to provide the maximum capacity to tailor the
operation and functionality of the software product to meet the schools
specific requirements, rather than forcing the school to reengineer processes
that fit the software.
Open, Modular Design. Fully Customizable.
Where functional requirements make customizations unavoidable, the open
and modular design makes extensions easier and less time consuming. The
extensions can be developed in a technically non-invasive manner to ease
upgrades to subsequent E-School Suite releases.
Performance
The solution is an open scalable system. Our relational database design
and distributed application ensure data integrity, minimizes data redundancy
and optimizes system performance.
Technology Edge
The solution uses advance technologies in design, development and integration
to leverage the benefits dolled-out by the on-going IT revolution.
Standardized on a Single, Unified Data Model.
SMIS E-School Suite uses a single, unified data model that stores information
for all applications in one place, giving you a single version of the truth.
You can have a single source of data on students, employees, parentsso
that everyone is accessing the same data all the time. This allows for a
single view of information, minimizing the likelihood of error and reducing
redundant data entry.
Adaptable User Interface
With its newly designed user interface, the solution delivers productive,
friendly, screen ergonomics. Regardless of whether a user is a beginner
or an expert, the user interface provides convenient viewing of detailed
and summary information, as well as the capacity to enter information quickly
and easily.
Security
The solution has a foolproof security system. Field access permission is
granted to each user to make the solution safe and secure.
